Responsibilities
The Senior Risk Analyst/Risk Manger will be dedicated to the conception, design, implementation of data analysis and reports that predict and prevent prohibited activity on xxxx’s website, including fraud and other violations of xxxx’s user agreement. The analysis will be used to provide critical insights that enable business partners in Trust and Safety, eBay Marketplace to make best business decisions. The analysis could also lead to modeling work and results will become a primary tool used by xxxx’s Trust & Safety Investigators in preventing violations, and in disciplining violators (including legal prosecution in some cases). Successful execution of this role will require that the Senior Risk Analyst be an expert in database record manipulation (mainly SAS/SQL) along with the ability to manipulate large volumes of complex data (mainly Excel/VBA, Excel PivotTables, SQL Server) for reporting, formulating and solving complicated business problems.


Requirements:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or closely related discipline and a minimum of 3 years work experience in a relevant field. Strong communication skills both verbal and written, good understanding of the business and works well with a team. Proficient in SAS language, experience in building statistical models using SAS or working in a reporting environment is a plus. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate high energy/creativity, a passion for analyzing highly complex data sets, a relentless customer-focus, an entrepreneurial spirit, a deep practical understanding of quantitative methods, and superb attention to detail.
