Project and Programme Manager



If you would like to...



·       Play a varied role in a fast growing consultancy. You'll want to apply your knowledge of Programme and Project Management and client relationship building in a truly unique environment.

·       Make a difference to your customers by delivering bespoke enterprise applications and advanced application integration services to major companies

·       Work with talented teams and drive their performance to ensure total customer satisfaction  

·       Utilize Agile Methodologies to manage the full life-cycle development of complex enterprise projects

·       Set expectations and build relationships at the CEO/CTO/CIO level

·       Leverage your understanding of the client's business to deliver stellar solutions



And you have

·       10+ years' experience ideally including analysis, design, coding, implementation and delivering, most of which will have been with enterprise OO applications (Java and .NET) in a consultancy environment

·       5+ years' project and programme management experience on bespoke designed, full lifecycle application development projects

·       Exceptional consulting and client management skills

·       Experience of, or opinions on, Agile Methods including XP, DSDM and Scrum

·       Team leading experience of larger teams (10-20 people)

·       Broad technical knowledge of application architecture, system architecture, application integration, relational databases, and object oriented languages

·       A proven ability to inspire and pull together the talents of multidisciplinary teams

·       Experience across the whole SDLC, from requirement gatherings to post delivery

Lead Business Analysts

If you would like to...

·       Work on complex, enterprise-transforming business applications

·       Develop your consultancy skills across a variety of domains

·       Initiate and drive organizational transformation activities specifically around technologies and business process implementation

·       Work closely with the development team to ensure the timely completion of development tasks and delivering business values

·       Review functionality of enterprise level business applications

·       Be part of diverse, high energy teams focused on full life-cycle development

·       Use the latest tools and techniques

·       Continually learn, mentor and grow

·       Travel to work at client sites and other ThoughtWorks offices. This may include international travel



And you have...

·       5 years of business or systems analysis experience, ideally within a consultancy environment

·       Experience of long term, large scale projects and of leading small teams of analysts/ quality assurance staff

·       Experience in writing use cases, defining acceptance tests, following requirements through to production and training developers in business issues

·       Real life business experience or domain expertise.

·       Participated in full lifecycle development on large projects (more than 15 people. Longer than 6 months)

·       Exceptional communication, faciliation and people skills, especially listening skills

·       Experience of early stage client engagements and are very comfortable defining requirements at the very earliest stage



And may also have...

·       Familiarity with object oriented analysis and design and have worked on enterprise systems developed in Java J2EE and .NET

·       Worked on a programme using Agile methodologies

·       Recently worked along Project Managers to help define project scope, facilitate communication upward and outward and help the PM articulate project status in terms of business value

·       Experience with usability and user interface design

·       Worked on projects that have re-engineered business processes
