I like to give my answers of those exams with some explanations. pls correct me if I was wrong. Thanks a lot
1. D;
2. A; When sas converts numeric to string, it use best12. So there is 12 bets width for the ‘phonenumber’ after it converted to string, two blanc spaces ahead of the original ‘phonenumber’.
3. C; In Data steps, there are two output files; one is temporary dataset named 'group' in ‘WORK’ library, the other is required by statement 'infile file-specification'.
4. A;
5. C;
6. A; Remember there are two 'IF' statements. The JOBLEVEL is finally decided by last 'IF' statement, which will overwrite the first result. If there is 'ELSE' in head of the second 'IF', the answer would be C.
7. C;
8. A; In sas system, a variable length always decided by first observation length if there is no length statement or formatted modifier before it.
9. D; A is wrong. C could be right, but remember the variable 'PRICE' does not appear in the report (only the mean of 'Report' does). The format and label statements for variable 'PRICE' became nonsense. B and D have syntax errors: in PRINT process it does not have 'table' statement (B); the DEFINE statement in REPORT process does not use 'label="title”, only uses "title" express for label option (D). However D is the closest answer.
10. C; INPUT function covert characters to numeric.
11. C; Only two observations per region.
12. D; 'UNTIL' clause is different with 'WHILE' clause. 'UNTIL' condition is checked after the cycle, so there is always at least one cycle before it is stopped. therefore it should be 8.
13. B; Note that second date is wrong.
14. D; The trim function does not change the length instead that it transfer origin length to new variable.
15. D; Study the difference among the ‘total + x’, ‘total= total + x’ and ‘total=sum(total, x)’!
16. D; There is no double trail sign @@ in ‘INPUT’ statements.
17. C; Statistic functions ignore missing values.
18. D;
19. B;
20. B; Print process is looking data set ‘SALES’ in “WORK” library.
21. A; The character variables always following the first length in DATA steps even length statement in the later can not change it.
22. A; One ‘HTML’ file which includes three reports.
23. D; The option ‘descending’ always before the variable.
24. C; A, B and D --all have syntax errors (missing period points in formatted modifiers).
25. B;
26. C; _TEMPORARY_ holds the variables not to write into DATA SET.
27. C;
28. A. For syntax errors, the Data steps may or may not to be stopped.
29. D;
30. B; The default length for character is 8.
31. A; See the answer 15.
32. D; The question implies the “OR” operant.
33. C;
34. D;
35. C;
36. B; Only B right.
37. B; Only B drop the SALARY in right dataset.
38. A; Only in ‘A’ the format is right.
39. C; Even it miss a period after 12.
40. C; WHERE clause does not do auto-conversions between the N & C.
41. B;
42. B;
43. D;
44. D;
45. B; the default length is 200.
46. A;
47. A; there is a missing period after AGE’s formatted modifier 3.
48. C; Note the IF…THEN clause.
49. B; the term 'FILE' is same as 'BODY'.
50. A; <!-- s:o --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":o" title="Surprised" /><!-- s:o --> |
