ETL Testing Engineer  BeiJing (2)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with development/testing staffs in US to perform software testing and validation for the SAS Data Integration Studio.
Duties include:
Reviewing product design
Designing, writing, executing, and validating a comprehensive set of test case scenarios
Tracking "bugs" and verifying fixes;
Evaluating test coverage;
Ensuring GUI components conform to SAS usability and look-and feel standards, participating in the user documentation review
Providing feedback to developers on product design and performance
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
Minimum four years of direct experience in testing or developing software systems (Minimum two years for excellent technical skills of development or testing)
Good knowledge of multiple operating systems, preferably Windows and Unix
Good interpersonal, writing and problem-solving skills
Ability to think analytically and effectively communicate problems and fixes
Ability to work independently
PREFERENCES:
Experiences for data warehouse and BI projects
Familiarity with ETL tools
Familiarity with DBMS such as Oracle or DB2
Knowledge of JAVA language


OLAP Performance Tester

Responsibilities:
SAS OLAP Server is a scalable server that provides multi-user access to the data that is stored in SAS OLAP cubes. This individual will focus on evaluating performance analysis of this technology. Performance analysis of a new server called the SAS Table Server will also be part of the responsibilities.
Detailed duties include:
• Working closely with management and senior developers to measure and provide performance assessments for response time, endurance, and scalability, as they relate to relational and multi-dimensional data structures;
• Working with proprietary and third party tools to develop specific performance test harnesses for analyzing performance across large enterprise applications;
• Collaborate with development teams within the company to ensure that the best scalability and performance characteristics are achieved
Requirements:
• Minimum of one year experience with performance analysis and testing of client/server applications
• Experience writing scripts using LoadRunner or other performance, profiling and load testing tools such as JUNIT and Jprobe
• Experience with SQL, JAVA and C programming languages
• Experience testing complex software architectures, including both server and GUI Components
• Experience with multiple operating systems, such as, MVS, UNIX, and Windows
• Communication, analytical, and problem solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Good command of English on reading, written and spoken

Software Testing Engineer
Location: Bei Jing

Description:
This person will work as part of a China-based software development team in cooperation with a software development team in the United States. Provides testing of program code during development cycle of certain software products.
Duties:
1. Designs, develops, executes, verifies, and analyzes test programs and procedures.
2. Plans and documents testing tasks.
3. Designs specific test programs to isolate software "bugs".
4. Discriminates between legitimate defect and unrelated problems.
5. Tracks specific "bugs" and verifies fixes.
6. Documents system "bugs" and resolution of verified "bugs" and related fixes.
7. May design, develop, integrate, maintain, and document testing tools.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field;
2. More than 4 years of direct experience in writing software applications, testing software systems, and/or general programming;
3. More than 3 years of testing experience;
4. Good interpersonal, writing, and problem-solving skills;
5. Excellent communication skills; 6. Good spoken and written English;
Preferences:
1. More than 5 years experience on Data Warehousing field;
2. Good knowledge of multiple operating systems, especially Unix/Linux
