POSITION: Senior Data Engineer, Risk Infrastructure/Operations/Tech Support
JOB DUTIES:
Design, implement, maintain and give on-going production support on large scale data-driven platforms and processes through analysis, creative solution design, integration, optimization, automation, monitoring, and trouble-shooting.
Help modelers/analysts/scientists/statisticians/biz-rule-writers convert ideas/logics to manageable operations and production jobs with metrics.
Work with Modeling Team, Rule Team, Biz-strategy Team, Product Management, and Engineering Team, etc, in supporting at all phases of risk/fraud models/rules projects.
Provide on-going production support and monitoring to make all production jobs reliable and smooth; be able to quickly identify and fixing root causes of production problems.
Utilize SQL and database programming in analyzing massive and highly complex data sets, performing ad-hoc analysis and data manipulation.
Role is script heavy with emphasis on automation. Strong coding background preferred.
Work independently as well as in a team environment.
Other Required：
Degree: Bachelor
Above 3 years related experience;
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• BS / MS degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
• 3+ years overall system/database/development experiences, financial industry area preferred.
• Unix SA (particularly Solaris/Linux) experience, DBA (particularly data warehouse/mart/mining) experience, strong math/statistics, and software development experience in financial industry (especially Risk or Credit area).
• Strong Unix/Windows/Network knowledge and experience.
• Excellent in Shell/SQL scripting and process integration/automation/control.
• Excellent in SAS (or other ETL/BI platform); SAS certified a plus.
• Teradata/Oracle/Postgres/MySQL (or other RDBMS) experience/knowledge.
• Apache/CGI/Perl/PHP/Python (or other open-source).
• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel/Access/Word/etc) knowledge and experience, VBA skill is a plus.
• A quick learner with can-do attitude.
