Responsibilities:
Position will be responsible for predictive model/credit scoring development and implementation including: understanding business and systems requirements, manipulation of large data sets, predictive model development, validation, and preparation of algorithms for automated scoring.
• Develop and validate statistical/scoring models to predict customer behavior (e.g. risk, response, profit, attrition and purchase) in both un-secured and secured consumer finance products (e.g. credit card, personal loan, auto loan)
• Maintenance and redevelopment of current model solutions
• Prepare technical documentation for completed models
• Perform data-mining and statistical analysis to develop customer segmentation strategies
• Present key model and analysis findings to senior management and/or other stakeholders with actionable recommendations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, Econometrics or equivalent quantitative fields preferred
• Excellent analytical skills with notable understanding of statistical methodologies in predictive statistical models such as OLS, Logistic Regression, clustering, decision tree, etc.
• Programming experience in SAS (Base, Stat, some Macro), or other statistical package
• Must be detail oriented with business curiosity
• Knowledge of financial products, policies and procedures a plus
• Solid written and oral communication skills in English
