Responsibilities:

·         Development, maintenance and administration as part of a team supporting an advanced Business Intelligence software system
·         Ensuring a high level of quality in all stages of software development from planning through implementation.
·         Writing and maintaining design documents and user documents geared to effective and accurate communication.
·         Performing other tasks as assigned.

Essential qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
·         Minimum three years full-time experience in commercial software development,  five to seven years preferred.
·         Knowledge of software development life cycle and software development environments.
·         Excellent problem-solving, organizational, decision-making, written communication and oral communication skills.
·         Ability to deliver promised results on deadline in a fast-paced environment both by working independently and as part of a team.
·         Ability to acquire new skills quickly by learning independently or from colleagues.

Required direct experience and expert knowledge:

·         Development for a large scale SAS BI  architecture that supports data acquisition and warehousing, analytics and Web-delivered flexible reporting.
·         Development using SAS BI components including Information Delivery Portal, Web Report Studio, Information Map Studio  and Data Integration Studio.
·         SAS Platform administration including server configuration and management, user access control,  security design, and metadata management.
·         Programming in  the SAS language and T-SQL for advanced applications including ETL, reporting and  the creation of complex SAS Stored Processes.
·         Data warehouse design and implementation and ETL design and implementation with SAS and Microsoft SQL Server.
·         Working effectively with multiple operating systems including the areas of OS-level scripting, administration and security.

Preferred experience and knowledge:

·         Data management and reporting  for applications in financial accounting and risk management.
·         RIA development  using Flash/Flex technology.
